About this event
Your vote MATTERS! Many voters in the Kansas City area will find themselves in a new congressional district. Meet the candidates seeking to represent you. Each U.S. representative is elected to a two-year term serving the people of a specific congressional district. Representatives introduce bills and resolutions, offer amendments and serve on committees. The House has several powers assigned exclusively to it, including the power to initiate revenue bills, impeach federal officials, and elect the President in the case of an electoral college tie.
Submit questions for candidates
Click on this button to submit questions you would like the candidates to answer.
Please note, we will not be able to use every submitted question due to time limits.
Registration is required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
The League of Women Voters of Kansas City / Jackson-Clay-Platte Counties is a nonpartisan political organization. The League neither supports nor opposes candidates or political parties. We envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge, and the confidence to participate.
