Candidate and Issues Forums

The League of Women Voters of Kansas City/Jackson, Clay, Platte Counties (LWVKC/JCP)  sponsors numerous candidate forums in the weeks leading up to local elections. Every effort is made to keep our forums issue-based, non-partisan and respectful. Using questions submitted by the public, our moderator asks each question of the candidates in a random, rotating order. Candidates are given 90 seconds to answer each question and two minutes for a closing statement. The forums are recorded and available to view on https://www.youtube.com/@lwvkc  about 24 hours after the forum ends. 

Please note: The League never endorses or opposes candidates or political parties.
