Donate today to help protect the work of the League of Women Voters of Kansas City, Jackson, Clay and Platte Counties. Help us Register Voters, produce Educational materials, conduct Forums, Get Out the Vote, Advocate for Legislation and produce the Voter Guide. Your donation will help democracy! Thank you.
Many of our League members are poll workers on election day. It is a long and exhausting day (14-15 hours!) but so important. Donations to the League of Women Voters of Kansas City, Jackson, Clay and Platte Counties are accepted in their honor to help support the work of our League. If you would like to designate which city/county your donation supports we will let those League poll workers know about your generosity. As you vote may you think of your donation and the workers it supports. All donations go to support the work of our League.
Vote 411 is a long process. League members work to contact each and every person running for office, including school board candidates.  As the information is gathered it is entered into a computer system so that when any person enters their address on the Vote411.com website they can see their own specific ballot. This enables people to decide who to vote for in the comfort of their own home. They do not have to try and read everything at the polls on the day of the election.  There are costs for this process and all monies raised for Vote 411, will be dedicated to this process.
Mary Lindsay, an active participant and board member of our League died on October 18, 2023. This stunned many of us and Mary will be missed. She was always generous with her time and was a wonderful listener. May we all remember Mary and her spirit of generosity, humor and dedication.I can't say enough about Mary but you can read more about her at Mary Lindsay
