MONTHLY MEETING: Trigger Law and Reproductive Rights

The Dobbs ruling by SCOTUS sent shockwaves across the country, particularly because the three most recent appointees to the court claimed during their confirmation hearings that they respected precedent. The ramifications are just now being realized including a 10 year old rape victim who had to travel from Ohio, where there is no exception for rape or incest, to Indiana to terminate her pregnancy. In another case, a court in Florida found a 16 year old pregnant girl too immature to make the decision to have an abortion, but is mature enough to become a parent.

This month’s program will center on women’s reproductive and medical privacy rights. The program will include Jennifer Bernstein, who serves as an advocate for women’s rights, and Bob Grover who has a personal and often unreported story to share.

Join at 9:30am for social time.  The meeting will begin at 10am.

This event is available via Zoom and will be live-streamed on the League's Facebook page.  A recording of the meeting will be available on the League's YouTube channel accessible on the website.
